Desulfurizing Agent for Pretreatment of Molten Iron

Desulfurizing agent for pretreatment of molten iron is a new product developed by our company to meet the demand of metallurgical market. It is used to solve the molten iron with high sulfur content to meet the requirements of short process in metallurgy and to produce high quality molten iron. It is a substitute of traditional low efficiency desulfurizer and can overcome the difficulty of slag scraping. The principle of it is to use the element whose affinity with sulfur is better than iron to form a kind of sulfide which is stable and insoluble in molten iron. Therefore, the desulfurization effect is good with no slag scraping and backflow. It can reduce the cost of steelmaking and improve the metal yield and production efficiency.

Product Features

Add the desulfurizer at the bottom of ladle against the iron flow in advance, and using the shock effect produced by molten iron mix well with the desulfurizer to increase the reaction interface and reaction speed.

2.Adding amount per ton of iron: generally, it’s recommended to add 5 to 15 kg per ton of iron. It shall be added in proportion according to the original sulfur content in molten iron.

Desulfurization effect is more significant when LF refining slag submerged is used with LF refining slag.
